Mark and I zoomed through a gorgeous fall morning to the Open House at Wish Upon a Ster Friesians. Many reasons drove us. We wanted to see their approved stallion Fridse 423 in person and get an idea of his offspring. We knew we'd enjoy the demos throughout the day showcasing Friesians in dressage, driving, musical freestyles, in hand, and at liberty. The most compelling reason was simply to enjoy phenomenal horses on a beautiful day.

The unexpected highlight hollered across the parking lot--"Kirsten Lee!" My old friend Sandy had literally been driving by with her daughter and some friends and pulled in to see what was going on.

We left the more serious cameras and glass at home. I flirted with the poor lighting and my beloved little point and shoot to play up "abstract." And of course, lots of shots of Sandy and the gang! Friesian video clips are at the end
